SSC MTS Exam is a national level exam held for recruitment of personnel in General Group-C Central Service non-ministerial and non-gazetted posts in various departments, ministries, and offices of the Government of India. Eligibility Criteria SSC MTS 2022

Nationality/ Citizenship:

To be eligible to appear for SSC MTS, there are certain nationality criteria that must be taken into consideration. Candidates seeking this recruitment have to sit for the examination, the following are the nationality criteria that must be taken care of:

  • A candidate must be a citizen of India or
  • A candidate must be subject to Nepal or
  • He or she must be a subject of Bhutan or
  • A candidate who is a Tibetan refugee and came to India with the intention of settling in India before January 1, 1962, is also eligible to appear for the SSC MTS examination or
  • Candidate of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India will also be considered to sit in SSC MTS 2022 examination.

Note: Candidate must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India (if a candidate belongs to a country other than India i.e. Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Pakistan, Burma, etc.).

SSC MTS Age Limit:

Candidates filling up the application forms for the SSC MTS test must be 18 to 25 years of age as of January 1, 2022. However, there will be an upper age limit relaxation in the case of physically handicapped, SC/ST, and OBC categories.

Note 1: It is important to note that candidate must get the benefit of reservation if he/ she has a minimum of 40% disability in case of physically handicapped. Concession to a central government employee will be granted either under the PH category or under the Central Government Employee category.

Note 2: The date of birth of the candidate will be recorded as mentioned in the matriculation certificates. No changes will be granted/accepted by the commission otherwise.

SSC MTS Educational Qualification

According to SSC MTS Eligibility, the candidate must have passed matriculation or equivalent examination from a recognized board as of January 1, 2022. In case a candidate does not pass the qualifying examination before the closing date of receipt of the application form, he or she is not permitted to apply.

SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria 2022: Points to Remember

All the aspirants should know that they will get additional benefits if they have a minimum of 40% disability in case of physically handicapped.

  • The date of birth of the candidates will be considered as mentioned in the Matriculation/Secondary examination and it will be accepted by the Staff selection commission. No subsequent request for its change will be granted later.
  • Ex-servicemen are also allowed to appear for the SSC MTS exam.
  • The aspirants will have to submit the SC/ST/OBC certificate from the concerned office. On the other hand, the PWD candidates will need to present their disability certificate from the concerned doctor or authority for their disability.
